“Village Administrator Anna Paul has taken a leave of absence. During her leave, Mr. Doug Pollock, AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners), will serve as the Interim Administrator, ensuring the continuation of municipal services. Doug brings his extensive municipal experience to this role, having served as the Village Administrator for the Village of Burr Ridge.

He began his tenure with the Village of Burr Ridge in 1995 serving as the Community Development Director, earning a promotion to Village Administrator in 2017.  Before joining Burr Ridge, Doug was responsible for community development in the Village of Lombard and the City of Indianapolis.

After retiring from the Village of Burr Ridge, Mr. Pollock began city planning and administration consulting for MGT Impact Solutions. His current work with MGT has included assignments with Orland Park, Park Ridge, Fox Lake, Huntley, Woodridge, Westmont, Rolling Meadows, Lincolnwood, and now, Barrington Hills.

Doug and his wife are longtime residents of the Village of Riverside, where they raised their family and continue to make their home. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family, woodworking and gardening.

Interesting fact about Doug: In 2022, he was appointed to serve the remainder of a two-year term as Riverside’s Village President after the office became vacant. He was officially elected to a new four-year term as Riverside’s Village President in the April 1, 2025, Consolidated Election.”

Before the Zoning Board of Appeals Village of Barrington Hills Text Amendment Definitions 5-2-1, Solar Energy Regulations 5-3-15, Energy System Removal 5-3-17

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Barrington Hills at the Village Hall, 112 Algonquin Road, Barrington Hills, Illinois, concerning the Zoning Boad of Appeals proposed text amendments to the Villages Zoning Ordinance, Title 5 of the Village Code, specifically to add definitions and regulations related to solar energy systems.

A copy of the Zoning Ordinance and the text amendment application is available for examination by appointment at the office of the Village Clerk at the Village Hall, weekdays during business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written comment on the proposed amendment will be provided to the members of the Zoning Board of Appeals but will not be part of the public record of the public hearing. Written comment will be accepted in the Office of the Village Clerk through 3:00 PM, June 6, 2025.
