We are excited to announce the launch of the Barrington SCOOP Web site which went live this afternoon at https://www.barringtonscoop.com/.
Like all Web sites, other features will be added and new content will continue to be published, but here’s what you can find on the site now and how you can contribute. We want to hear from you!
Community Photo Galleries – this section will include event images from around town, crediting the various photographers. Submit your images to us at hello@thebarringtonscoop.com.
Comprehensive Event Calendar – the community calendar will include the major events from our local villages, groups, organizations and businesses. You can choose your preferred viewing layout at the top right hand side of the screen – Agenda, Monthly or Pinboard. The calendar will be populated regularly, but anyone can submit their own events for free directly on the site. Submissions are very simple and should take no longer than five minutes. Visit the “Events” section of the site and click on the “Submit Event” tab highlighted in black.
Lifestyle, Local Business, Schools and Charities sections – we have created various sections to help the community find the news they are most interested in consuming. Find the navigation tabs at the top of the site. Have a story idea, or news item you want to see in one of these sections? E-mail us at hello@thebarringtonscoop.com.
Advertise with us section – we are building in several new ways that businesses and groups can work with us to share and promote their content. While our first goal is to keep the community informed, we also need to monetize our time.
