CUSD220 has six candidates for the four open Board of Education seats in the April 1st Election. The PTO Presidents’ Council is hosting a “nonpartisan” candidates’ forum IN PERSON at the Barrington Area Library on Wednesday, March 12th, from 9:30-11:30 AM.
Come learn about the different candidates and what they would do if elected. There is no RSVP for this in person event.
Editorial note: This publication strongly endorses incumbent candidates Steve Wang and Katie Karam, as well as that of candidate Deanna Stern, for election to the District 220 Board of Education in the April 1st Election.

I find it interesting that this publication is now supporting candidates who back DEI and SEL initiatives, since all 3 candidates you endorsed stated their support for these during the first forum.
Stop with the gaslighting! Sandra Bradford and Erin Chan Ding were instrumental in bringing DEI into D220, thanks to those two knuckle heads and Barry and Sandra we have a school district that has switched focus from academic excellence to diversity, equity and inclusion. Our property taxes keep rising and our students test scores keep slipping, we have to vote OUT the woke activisits who have done this to our school district. To imply Kate Karam or Steve Wang support that nonsense is absurd.
100% Insider. Additionally, the ultra woke and far left League of Women Voters orchestrated questions that surround DEI initiatives instead of those that deal with excellence in academics, staffing, and teaching, and the responsible use of our tax dollars, knowing that their darlings, Bradford, Chan Ding & Srivastava would thrive in responding to the DIE questions.
