Barrington’s village board passed a resolution affirming the village is a welcoming community.
The board’s decision clarifies the village’s compliance with Illinois’ TRUST Act, Trustee Brian Prigge said. The state law prevents police agencies from assisting federal agents with immigration enforcement efforts.
“It is effectively synonymous with an ordinance, as the enforcement in the ordinance would not have any real teeth to it,” he said.
But residents who spoke at Monday’s board meeting spoke in favor of an ordinance along the lines of those passed by Wheeling, Evanston and Oak Park.
The resolution states the village does not support the use of any village-owned or operated properties or assets for immigration enforcement purposes.
It also declares its support and appreciation to people in the Barrington community who continue to work to foster safety and respect for all.
More here.

The night before two illegal immigrants from Venezuela stabbed a homeless man in Chicago….these four public speakers, referred to as “several residents,” expressed their support for an ordinance aimed at assisting undocumented (illegal) individuals. The speakers included Jim McGrath, founder of Indivisible NWSOFA; Diane Scholten, a Barrington Democratic leader and self-proclaimed believer in witchcraft; Dana Brown, owner of a new perfume store called Kamala, who mentioned that she attended Harvard and wore a mask; and Jenny Levin, a Democratic candidate for Illinois State Representative in the 51st district, who is not a resident of Barrington. The speakers had a very biased perspective.
When White men will not stand up for the villages, lineage, posterity and prosperity, nobody else will for you. These frauds are inviting in the Lord’s wrath along with the third world. “Welcoming community” effeminate nonsense aside, nobody wants to live in Carpentersville or Elgin and when you village is invaded you don’t worry about anything other than supporting various forms of law enforcement to remove the threat. This is treason and every person who spoke in favor should be held accountable to greatest degree possible.
