Edited audio recordings from the June 16th Roads & Bridges Committee meeting are available for review.
Three residents presented during public comments, all of whom spoke up against the planned Longmeadow Parkway project, and much of the committee’s discussion focused on that subject.
The link to the menu of recordings of topical subjects covered at the meeting can be accessed here.
Contracting with Ms. Schumm, BACOG, and other do-nothing, redundant grant seekers are a legacy of the waste created by a former village president and lock stepped Trustees. Thank you, Historian, for providing the minutes of meeting with McHenry County Board, Pres. Abboud, Algonquin Pres. Schmitt, and others. Reading the public record, It should be apparent to Village residents the (negative) “brand” ex Pres. created, Pres McLaughlin’s success in settling Sears suit and the support of newly elected Trustees demonstrates a positive, productive administration of Village matters.
Well stated Watcher, but my concern is where has Trustee Gohl been. He has missed a spate of recent BOT and comittee meetings. I hope his noticable absence is not an attempt to thumb his nose at his new BOT colleagues.
It is very important Trustee Gohl as elder statesman try to guide these freshman BOT teaching them the ropes on how to do the “ole way” of village businessl. By losing former Pres. Trustees, Messer, Meroni and Selman in consecutive elections VBH now runs the risk of finding itself in the awkward position of having open and honest government.
A position VBH has not been in for many years now. Until residents get over their giddiness and the shock this has placed on entire village government is dissipated, it is imperative Trustees Gohl and Harrington remain in good stead on the board as a counter-weight to good village governance and a reminder to us all why a drastic change on the board was necessary. . . . and to a small extent stil is.
