The Barrington 220 Board of Education is still in the planning phase regarding how to use more than 20 acres of land [west side of Hart Rd.] adjacent to Barrington High School. The board purchased the land during a special meeting on Dec. 31.
But at a board meeting Tuesday evening, Barrington Hills resident and parent Hammond Meuer said he disapproved of the way the board moved $2.2 million out of its educational fund into the operations and maintenance fund when purchasing the parcel.
“The education fund could and should be used for items of an educational nature,” said Meuer.
