Thirteen residents spoke during public comment, and there were some interesting twists during some of the board’s discussions, particularly during the “Administration” portion of the meeting.
did you listen to this? is there something I should know?
I would like to thank each one of you who voiced your opinion at the July Village Board meeting in support and in opposition to my nomination for the ZBA. I believe a candid “public discussion” concerning a nominee’s qualifications and character is vital in our journey of restoring public confidence and trust in all facets of BH Village government.
Unfortunately, out of the 34 or so recent appointments by the Board for various board assignments (almost all which nominated and approved by the Board and former Village Pres. at his final board meeting without luxury of public comment) it appears I will be the only nominee subjected to this heightened level of scrutiny.
By my count according to the recordings seven residents spoke in favor of the June nominations to the ZBA and only two chose to oppose just one candidate for nomination. Even for the hard of hearing on the BOT that should speak volumes.
Like him or not, Stieper is the one person with the good of the village at heart.
time to get into the St Marks issue – water contamination, septic failure, etc……….my understanding this is all being closely looked at by the Attorney General.
