Barrington Hills may be best known for its rolling hills, five-acre minimum lots and equestrian-friendly atmosphere, but in recent years it’s also gained a reputation as a community whose leaders are often at odds with their neighbors, their residents and one another.
That environment not surprisingly has given rise to a heated contest for three seats on the village board.

With the inclusion of David Stieper, candidates Colleen Hannigan and Michael Harrington offer experience and professionalism to the Board of Trustees. These three candidates are rationale, independent thinkers who can restore respect efficiency, and order to the Village administration, I can’t see any of these people putting up with marathon, 5 and 6 hour meetings, discouraging and disrespecting Village residents who attend.
McLaughlin for Village President rounds out an exceptional field for Village Board.
