“(The League of Women Voters of the Palatine, Barrington, and Schaumburg Areas) want(s) to share an important update regarding Saturday’s 8th Congressional District Candidate Forum.
The Melissa Bean campaign has informed us that Ms. Bean will not be participating in the forum due to ‘a scheduling conflict.’
The League had previously received confirmation of her participation and had included her in our planning and publicity for the event. We learned yesterday that she will not attend.
In accordance with League of Women Voters policies, we must cancel the 8th Congressional District Candidate Forum.”
