Celebrating a Spectacular Fourth of July and Exciting Summer Ahead in Barrington!
I had an amazing time at Barrington’s Fourth of July festivities celebrating America’s birthday! It was great to see thousands of people coming together to enjoy concerts, fireworks, a Family Fitness Run, a parade and the return of the Barrington Lions Club Brat Tent. These events would not be possible without the help of Barrington’s dedicated staff and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making these community events such a success.
Speaking of the Brat Tent, an estimated 4,000 people attended to enjoy great food and live music over four days. Given the overwhelming enthusiasm, the Barrington Lions Club Brat Tent will return in 2025 to commemorate the club’s 100th anniversary. I can’t wait to celebrate this significant milestone with them!
Summer events continue with the weekly Thursday Night Out event featuring the Farmers Market, classic cars, food trucks, live music and more. Be sure to come downtown every Thursday to shop and dine at the Farmers Market vendors, businesses and restaurants.
You also won’t want to miss the next outdoor Metra Lot Concert: Mike & Joe on Friday, July 26. Gather your friends, family and neighbors for a fun night out.
There are still plenty of events on the horizon in Barrington. I hope to see you around town this summer!
