The McLaughlin years officially come to a close tonight. Many individuals over the eight years, owe their employment, success, and village posts to Marty McLaughlin. While the effusive thank you’s will be flying tonight. We are looking forward, we don’t see any changes ahead on the village board. Cecola is decendent of the McLaughlin playbook, and a mouth piece and will rubber stamp whatever policy or legislation is proposed. The board well, time will tell what their made of! We will be watching.
We expect more of the same type of voting, and lip service. Why wasn’t this meeting available on Zoom for residents to watch and/or comment?
Best of Luck in Springfield, it is a different playground, you can’t control people like you do locally. You can’t hand pick your favorites and disregard those who disagree with you. Politics is a game of friends and foes. That leaves the Observer without their star, but don’t worry Cecola will be glad to be the understudy.
But Best of Luck!
