Longmeadow Parkway project hits potential obstacle in Barrington Hills

Kane County approved contracts with a company to begin removing trees along the Longmeadow Parkway Bridge Corridor, but the Kane County Department of Transportation has hit a potential roadblock to remove trees on Autumn Trail in Barrington Hills.

Barrington Hills residents, along with village trustees, argue Autumn Trail is a private, not public road, so the county does not have authority to remove the trees, officials said.
