The Village has released edited audio recordings from the May 14 Special Village Board meeting. To access the menu of the meeting’s topical audio recording segments, click here.
For reasons unknown, public comments have not been edited to individual resident comments, as they have been in the past. Instead, there is only one recording selection which starts with the first speaker and ends with the last.
Still, we really appreciated the remarks made by a longtime resident, and the manner in which they were made. A link to the beginning of her remarks can be found here.
The second recording readers should also take the time to listen to is the “New Appointments”segment where wo qualified, experienced and devoted residents were being considered for appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The conduct of some on our board and in the audience that night toward these volunteers willing to step into the politically charged arena that still plagues our Village was absolutely repugnant and inexcusable. That recording can be found here.
So was the Spring Creek Road property annexed into BH or de-annexed? Is the next election mantra to be changed from Save 5 Acres to Save 2 Acres?
Many had some hope Mike Harrington would bring some independent thinking to the board. We were wrong. All we have is another Abboud mouthpiece who annoyingly sounds just like Mr. Peepers.
The comments that some made about certain residents was repugnant and inexcusable.
Three cheers for the “crabby old lady” and her gutsy comments!!! So tell us who voted in the last election who don’t live in the village anymore???
She sounds more like a “classy old lady”! I too wonder about former residents having voted in 2013. I had heard about this before. I hope someone is investigating this…
As someone who has watched these Village proceedings from the tall grass,
it is embarrassing to watch a board of Trustees who even now can’t support the new Village President. It’s time to call a Referendum on horse boarding, it’s taken up enough time on the Village docket. Stacking the ZBA and Plan commission with “your” ideal candidates won’t solve the problem.
Stop wasting our time, and our tax dollars!
SPEAK YOUR MIND!
Residents please attend our next Village Board Meeting May 28th at 6:30 at the Village Hall on proposed bike plans/paths for Haeger’s Bend, and other local roads.
Opposition petitions available for signatures and for circulation at meeting.
WE NEED A REFERENDUM!!!!!!!!
