False. The meeting took place with Lake County Republican Chairman Keith Brin & Palatine Township Republican Committeeperson Aaron Del Mar in attendance representing 83% of the district.
Perfunctory business conducted to reopen applications with 5PM deadline Tuesday, February 25.
Darby Hills is no longer the appointed successor to Dan McConchie as interviews of new candidates will be conducted. The first 4 applicants will remain in the candidate pool unless they choose to withdraw.
I attended the meeting, so this information is reliable.
Thank you for that clarification. We emailed a request for confirmation of the meeting to Derek Murphy of SRVF at 6:51 AM today and did not receive a response. We were later informed the meeting was cancelled.
I wound call it an attempted meeting. I wouldn’t call it a meeting. After a late start, Derek announced that due to new legal issues ( law suit) that the meeting planned for Friday was canceled. They did reopen applications with a deadline of February 25th for any new parties interested. Do over meeting to follow. It was quite challenging to attend the non- meeting, meeting last Friday, when the link published/given out was for a meeting the prior day at 5PM and had expired. You had to go in and use the meeting number and code under the expired link. Not easy or intuitive.
