August 18 Zoning Board meeting recordings released

The Village has released edited audio recordings from the August 18 Zoning Board meeting. To access the menu of the meeting’s topical audio recording segments, click here.

The next Zoning Board meeting on the topic of commercial horse boarding will be a special session taking place on September 9 at Countryside School beginning at 7:00 PM.  This will be a public hearing to review two new horse boarding amendment proposals.  Once complete copies of those proposals are posted by the Village, The Observer will publish them for readers to review in advance of the meeting.

Following this hearing, the board will then reconvene in another special meeting on September 11 (at a location yet to be determined) to review all four horse boarding proposals submitted thus far by residents and possibly vote on their recommendation.

Assuming the board does come to a consensus on their recommendation, the next logical step should be a Plan Commission review, given the concern expressed by the Zoning Board chair that any zoning code amendments related to horse boarding be supportive of the Village’s Comprehensive Plan.
