According to information provided via BACOG’s website, approximately 60 well water samples were submitted from the entire BACOG area last month. Laboratory results showed that 9 samples (or 15%) were found to contain elevated levels of bacteria. No other information was provided regarding participation numbers by municipality or where the unsatisfactory testing wells are located.
The next opportunity for residents to participate in a BACOC well test program will be in the spring of 2012.
Everyone should test their wells every year! It is so inexpensive. Most townships have the drop off.
Cindy is correct; convenient dropoffs are avaliable at Algonquin Township on a weekly basis As I recall, BACOG required dropoffs at location east of Barrington Hills, and times very limited. Why duplicate services already available at the township offices?
All this for $40,000 a year? Maybe RGA should take a hint from South Barrington!
