Barrington 4th of July 2016 events

There are a number of local events are taking place tomorrow in honor of Independence Day in Barrington.  Here are but a few:

Family Fitness Run:  This fundraising race sponsored by Advocate Good Shepard Hospital begins at 7:15 AM on Monday in downtown Barrington at the corner of Cook Street and Park Avenue.  This year only a small portion of the 10K run involves Barrington Hills roads as depicted below:

Residents may encounter some brief delays on Otis and Hawley Woods Roads early Monday during the race, but anyone slightly inconvenienced should remember this is for a good cause.  For more information on the fitness run event, click here.

Barrington 4th of July Parade: The theme of this year’s parade is “The Best of Barrington – Celebrating Our Community.”  The parade begins at 10:00 AM starting at Barrington High School following Main Street east to the Barrington Metra station.  For more information, click here.

Lions Club Brat Tent: The Lions Club Brat Tent is open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday.  For more information, click here.

Barrington Fireworks Display:  The fireworks display begins at dusk over the grounds of Barrington High School.

We wish everyone a very festive and safe Independence Day!
