Experience living history from 1865, when Union and Confederate Civil War Reenactors will bring history to life, complete with authentic soldiers, encampments, cavalry horses, and musicians.
On Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Barrington Area Library, Bill Hannay, Barrington Hills Resident, will bring Civil War history to life with his portrayal of soldier Norris Hamilton.

For those of you who did not attend last night, Bill Hannay’s portrayal of this ordinary Barrington man age 40 enllsting and dying for the Union cause by musket shot to the forehead brought the Civil War alive to our own backyard. Bill was able to tell the story of what it was like to be a regular in the Union Army.
Thanks Bill for bringing the story of Barrington farmer Norris Hamilton to life. Don’t know how you memorized all those lines but outstanding job.
Looking forward to the Civil war activities taking place this week-end at Citizen’s Park, especially Linoln speech, battle reenactment and of course, the medical procedures and amputations.
Thanks Bill and to all of those who are participating in bringing the Civil War reenactment to our community.
