Dede Wamberg, the most vocal critic of a controversial proposal to dim lights in Barrington Hills, and three others, including a current village trustee, announced Thursday that they are candidates for Village Board under a new political banner, the Common Sense Party.
Trustee Beth Mallen will join Wamberg and Skip Gianopulos and Stephen D’Amore on the spring ballot. Four seats on the board are up for re-election. Besides Mallen’s, they are those of Steve Knoop, Joseph Messer and Walter E. Smithe.
