“At the June 7 Board meeting, Barrington 220’s Energy Specialist provided the Board with a presentation that focused on how the district is currently practicing energy sustainability, as well as what the district can do moving forward.
Since 2015, Barrington 220 has reduced energy costs by more than 20%, saving the district nearly $2.8 million. The district plans to research how it can further reduce energy costs by installing solar panels on school buildings, as Build 220 construction continues across the district.
