“At the October 5 Board of Education meeting, Dr. Robert Hunt, Superintendent of Schools and Dr. Craig Winkelman, Assistant Superintendent of K-12 Schools and Operations, shared a tentative timeline to embark on creating a new strategic plan for the district. The process most likely will begin in early 2022 and it will involve much community engagement, in order to shape the future of Barrington 220.
A strategic plan formalizes a school district’s mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives. Barrington 220’s most recent strategic plan “Vision 2020” was a 10 year plan created in 2009, which began as a vision of the year 2020, when the kindergartners of 2008 would enter their graduating year at Barrington High School.

Let’s see…instead of focusing on their entire reason for existence, i.e. taking our students on a relentless drive towards and achieving educational excellence, the attention and budget will be wasted on moving forward with crackpot racially divisive theories and other social/emotional unproductive nonsense geared towards a collectivist society built upon a hierarchy of delusional victimization. How about getting down to the actual business of “expecting and achieving nothing less than superior academic performance”. There…I just wrote the mission statement in 10 seconds at no cost. Think of money that will be wasted by the socialists groupthink, committees, studies, consultants, etc., etc. ad nauseam, that will go on for months, cost hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars and move our schools further down the test score scale in an attempt to find the bottom of academic degradation all in the name of Marxist based “social diversity, equity and inclusion”.
Was hiring without the public’s input an Equity Czar or Diversity Counselor part of the last 10-year strategic plan? How much did we pay an outside consultant to do that search that unfairly indicts our community for equality equity and diversity issues that are not here in CUSD 220?
How about over the next 10 years we actually have a strategy to keep the teachers union out of our local elections and stop running illegal vetting committees like Sandra Bradford, Lefty Lazzari and Scary Barry “The Faucist“ Altshuler did in the last election cycle? Let’s stop electing and putting progressives into office poisoning our children with critical race theory, victimization and activist agendas. How’s that for a 10-year strategic plan?
