The League of Women Voters has posted recordings of the two Village candidate forums they held Saturday morning.
The session for Village of Barrington Hills President candidates can viewed here, and the session for candidates running for Village Trustee seats can be viewed here.
Didn’t realize how disproportionately large Jacobsen’s head is. This explains a lot now in hindsight.
Well it’s campaign season and it looks like Paula Jacobsen is at her computer using publisher on her flyer I just received trying to convince residents that Your Barrington Hills is just the ticket for us!
She is crafting and drafting a story (complete with action shots) of activity, competence and accomplishment related to her and Bob Zubak’s time as trustees. My favorite is the posed kitchen table one with Kelly’s head pretending they’re all planning something. Maybe it’s the dressage arena for the park district no one has seen? Who knows?
It looks like she spent more time on her flyer than on her job as trustee.
Unfortunately (for Paula especially) the claims of success rings quite hollow when you look at her record.
-She has missed 30% of board meetings
-She has had zero initiatives brought forward to the board and zero that have passed through the board.
-She has provided information to the help the illegal group home business that we hope is under investigation
-She has made false claims against the Village and Village finance trustees and she got caught by the auditor
She has stumbled and bumbled her way through the first four years not understanding her role and not using staff or the information resources at her fingertips to be a functioning trustee.
These are just a few reasons why every village of BH voter should not consider rewarding her as a trustee in the upcoming election. April 6th.
Does the League of Women Voters have a hidden agenda? Has anyone seen the only 2 questions on the Questionnaire posted on their website they are posing to school board candidates in advance of the election? “What are your suggestions to ensure that diverse suppliers and contractors are hired?” And, “What are your plans to recruit, train and retain a diverse staff.” Are these the most pressing issues facing D220 after a year of being locked down, loss of learning, and mental health crises facing many kids?
The (New) Algonquin border agreements that Paula Jacobsen and Bob Zubak claim have been executed on their mailer and website with Algonquin aren’t executed or in place. Oops!
Makes me wonder what these two have been doing during the village board meetings.
Also, four years ago Paula and Bob complained that the number of officers in the village were reduced to a dangerous level now they’re claiming the number of officers is at the correct level. Hmmm.
Funny thing is it looks like is the number of officers are at the same level.
Stay tuned. For more “accurate, transparent” YBH info!
