The first major winter storm of the season hit the Chicago area beginning Monday and continuing through the overnight hours into Tuesday, dumping several inches of snow and making for slick roads.
Here’s a look at the snow totals according to the National Weather Service in our area:
- Barrington Hills – 5.1 inches
- Hoffman Estates – 6.7 inches
- Palatine – 7.3 inches
- Lake Zurich – 7.3 inches
- Algonquin – 3 inches
- Cary – 4.4 inches
