At their meeting last night, the Board of Education approved a Distance Learning Plan for Barrington 220, which would allow students to complete the school day from home on an inclement weather day.
This could eliminate the need to make up days at the end of the school year. The Barrington 220 administration worked in collaboration with the Barrington Education Association (BEA) and Barrington School District Employee Organization (BSEO) on the Distance Learning Plan, which encompasses traditional lesson assignments at home that do not require an electronic device, as well as eLearning (lesson assignments at home that require an electronic device, such as an iPad).
Please note, there may be circumstances when Barrington 220 does not implement the Distance Learning Plan during inclement weather and instead decides to make up the day at the end of the school year. To learn more, visit our Frequently Asked Questions document.
