The Barrington School District 220 board has begun to mull what projects to include in a possible referendum next year and how much money it might ask from the taxpayers, with some concrete ideas starting to form.
The board spent nearly two hours in its June 18 meeting discussing how much money to seek from voters and what projects are most critical, and members gave a literal thumbs up or down to a variety of possibilities.
Though no votes were taken, the board is developing ideas members plan to discuss further at the July 30 meeting – looking to vote on a proposal when they meet Aug. 13, all part of a likely move to place a referendum on the March 17 primary election ballot.
