80% of life is about just showing up. There are 5 candidates for BH village trustee office this Spring and ONLY 2 showed up for the Daily Herald scheduled interviews last week. How are we supposed to take these people who didn’t bother to show up seriously?
The two that did show up are in their busiest business seasons – Tax accounting and Road Plowing.
Kudos to BRIAN CECOLA and DEBRA BUETTNER.
Louie (Lou I )Iocavelli a no show phoned it in.
Linda(Paperwork) Cools who isn’t employed also a no show phoned it in.
And Bryan Croll current Trustee phoned it in.
At least Croll wasn’t sitting in a room with campaign advisors handing them crib notes during the interviews as I suspect Louie (Loui I) Iocavelli and Linda (Paperwork) Cools were. Your Barrington Hills advisors and Delusional Day Dreamers should at least file for the ballot next time.
With McLaughlin and Konicek Hannigan still in charge and running the show for 2 more years I have confidence they can keep our village on the right path. They have since 2013 even when they were outnumbered 5-2 prior to their hand picked One Barrington Hills 3 were elected in 2015.
BRIAN CECOLA and DEBRA BUETTNER get my vote for just showing up!

I agree with Being There, how do we know that those who phoned it in weren’t reading off notes or worse had others in the room feeding him or her answers. 80 percent of life is showing up at the right place at the right time and kudos to Deb and Cecola who did just that. While given 3 votes, I may only cast 2 unless those who did not appear provide reason why. Government is like a garden and it can only blossom when those entrusted as caretakers appear and nourish it in person with the right amount of common sense and preparation.
