The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Tuesday February 21st at 6:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include a public hearing for a special use permit for expansion of a pond at residence at 153 Algonquin Road, and a vote on the special use permit for a boat house at 61 Otis Road. The public hearing on the boat house permit was conducted last month.

Would the Zoning Board have any interest/say/rules about the change of a public park (Hickory Hills Park) into a 4 lane highway? Would they support this? Do they support this now? Or should they look into the transaction as it diminishes “the Public Trust” ? How about the clear cutting of all the trees to provide a right of way for the pavement? Are they even aware that this is happening within our Village Boundaries?
