Lake County Board member Nick Sauer is resigning from that post to serve as the 51st District representative in the state House. Sauer, of Lake Barrington, was elected to the House last month. His resignation is effective Jan. 11.
Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor is seeking qualified candidates to fill Sauer’s 17th District seat on the county board. The appointee shall serve the remainder of the term, which will expire in December 2018. The appointee must be a District 17 resident.
