Earlier this week the Barrington Hills Park District posted information on meetings of the district Advisory Committee that occurred in July and August to the district website.
The Advisory Committee met on July 12th, and while no agenda is posted, minutes from that meeting are, and they can be viewed here. The committee also met on August 2nd, and that agenda can be viewed here.
It’s unclear why the district has not been publishing Advisory Committee agendas prior to meetings lately, but their next scheduled meeting is on September 6th.
Do we really need a Park District and an Advisory Committee and an Equestrian Commission? In fact, do we need the Riding Center? Since it borders Cook County Forest Preserve property and that entity clearly has an interest in providing equestrian activities as evidenced by the purchase of Horizon Farms, perhaps the Village could sell that facility and put the money towards something all residents could benefit from. The Riding Center would still be available for those who want to use it.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Completely agree!
Do it!
