The Barrington Hills Park District Board of Commissioners will be holding a special meeting on Monday, June 6th, at 7:00 PM at the district Riding Center located at 361 Bateman Road.
One of the topics on their agenda is “Site Plan Review.” It’s our understanding the board members have been considering commissioning professionals to develop an overall site plan for the fifteen-acre riding center. One of the components of this plan would be the addition of a second indoor riding arena.

And who will pay for this recoratinal wonderland for non residents?
A SECOND indoor arena? One isn’t enough? Huge expense.
Wow, another assault to the taxpayer’s wallet! Tired of paying for their recreational pursuits.. Just like the school district, those who ride should pay for their second arena.
This is a bit much! We are already attracting ‘visitors’ from the tri-state area. Some residence can’t get in to use our own facilities.
