Dundee Township in Kane County will be holding their “Annual Town Meeting” this evening, beginning at 7:30 PM at the Randall Oaks Banquet Center located at 4101 Binnie Rd in West Dundee. A copy of this evening’s agenda can be viewed here.
The main topic of interest for Barrington Hills registered voters living in the township will be a vote at the meeting to decide whether a question about the planned Longmeadow Parkway Project should be placed as an advisory referendum on the March 15, 2016 general election ballot. The proposed language for the referendum is, “shall officials in municipalities in Dundee Township including Carpentersville, West Dundee, East Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Algonquin and Barrington Hills oppose the $100,000,000 Longmeadow toll way that bisects the Brunner Forest Preserve due to air, noise and water pollution and negative impacts to property values?” A simple majority of the voters at the meeting is necessary to get the referendum on the ballot.
UPDATE: The venue has changed!!!
To accommodate more people, the Dundee Township Annual Meeting will be held at the Premier Club in East Dundee, right next to GAT Guns on Rt. 25.

Come and ask what impact this tollway will have upon the potential to widen Rt 62 in Barrington Hills in the near term.
