Since we last reported on the campaign donations garnered by the SOS Party, three more donations in excess of $1,000 have been filed with the IL State Board of Elections for the period from February 1st to March 2nd. Those donations came from:
- Elaine Ramesh – $1,000 on February 20th
- Bruce Pfaff – $1,000 on February 21st
- Bryan Cressey – $10,800 on March 2nd
This brings their total reported donations of $1,000 or more to a total of $54,100 campaign-to-date. To put things in perspective, two years ago at this time, six candidates running under the banners Save 5 Acres, Unite Barrington Hills and Citizens for Stieper had raised a total of $11,000 in reported donations combined.
Also since our last report, the SOS Party has named four content contributors to their website, and presumably to their Facebook page. The four named are Steve Knoop, Leslie Coolidge, John Rosene and Dan Lundmark, and the website states that Meroni, Selman and Naumann, the three SOS candidates, edit and approve of all social media, website and hard copy content for the SOS campaign.
Much of volumes we’ve read so far in various media SOS has published include sheer fiction, and we plan to address these very soon in an upcoming editorial.
Perhaps it’s time for the seven involved in writing and editing to take pause and address something more fundamental, such as the correct spelling of one of the candidate’s names on the website homepage and other places on their SOS website:
There are three “N’s” in Naumann.
Take your time, though. Don’t sweat minor details. Chances are there’s more of your fabricated political spin to get out there first that is more important.
This election isn’t about money, it’s about ethics, honesty and our residents rights to have government work for them and protect their interests!

Very interesting. It looks like there’s been much hat in handing by SOS scrounging for cash. There’s an attack on the FB page regarding Michelle Maison’s law license and mediation experience. It’s clear from the post that they have “plants” asking the questions. This particular post is especially notable because it’s so full of misinformation and fantasy that it’s almost comical. They claim they looked up Michelle and she’s listed as retired by the IL Bar. This is true. However what they missed is retired is just inactive. She still holds a license in this state that can be activated at any time she wishes. Also, it’s clear they have no idea what mediation is. They claim that since she doesn’t have a law license (false), that she can’t act as a court appointed mediator. This is also false. Mediators do not have to be attorneys. Then they question since she doesn’t have a law license and therefore can’t be a mediator for the court, where is her experience? The intent there is that court appointed mediation is the only type of mediation. This is patently false. I wish Ms Meroni would spend this much energy on R&B. And maybe our roads wouldn’t suck and we’d actually know exactly where our money is going.
All the money in the world can’t prop up 3 very weak candidates. If YOU were a politician, would you rather have a million dollars or a million votes?.
Are they going to buy the election?
Why do they need that much money for a little jerk-water election?
Are they afraid that “something” will come out if the loyal opposition gets the reigns of government?
Do they lie awake at night wondering if a knock will come at their doors and a man with handcuffs will start asking difficult questions?
Questions that may cause some to take the fifth?

HELLO NAUMANN!
Interesting that Mr. Cressey who lives in unincorporated McHenry finds it necessary to donate such a big hunk of change to SOS. He can’t vote in municipal elections.
