The Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a new water tanker vehicle (tender) that will vastly improve the BCFPD’s ability to deliver water to areas of the district that do not have fire hydrants, according to a press release.
The new, 3,000-gallon capacity tender recently arrived at district headquarters. It will enter service on Jan. 1, 2014, when the BCFPD begins independent operations.
