Our Village Board will be holding a special meeting this Monday evening, October 7, at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting according to the agenda is to discuss the upcoming “Hills are Alive Heritage Fest” taking place the afternoon of October 13th at the Barrington Hills Park District. A copy of the agenda can be viewed here.
Residents are strongly encouraged to attend since this promises to be a continuation of the political theater of the absurd some residents witnessed not long ago during the September board meeting. Those who can attend are also encouraged to voice their opinions about this first Village-wide festival during the public comment session immediately preceding the board’s discussion.
Who is the moron that insisted that a special meeting be called – that old hen Meroni? Enough is enough. Close the trails. Close the trails. Close the trails…
She’s probably just the puppet. The person pulling the strings is our village’s “pre-existing condition” who appears to have nothing better to do except try to stop anything positive our new president is trying accomplish.
I hope he shows up at the ‘special meeting’ so that we residents can give him our ‘special’ opinions of his disruptive childlike behavior – that is after he is finished stomping his feet………….
This is ridiculous. Bobby’s Gang of Four (Meroni, Selman, Messer & Gohl) seem hell-bent to oppose this event at all costs, coming up with every argument against it that they can. Does anyone else find this strange?
They never spoke up against any of Bobby’s spending or decisions on anything, whether it was fines for Oakwood, police union negotiations, legal spending or squelching public comments.
But when it comes for a fall festival with wide-spread community support and no cost to the residents, these partisan hacks feel the need to resist Pres. McLaughlin out of nothing but spite, and force a special meeting to be held. Now we have to pay the lawyers extra to show up for the meeting.
This has got to stop! Don’t fear the pumpkins.
