Honoring a soldier killed 150 years ago? That’s nice – must be one of Abboud protoge P. Denise Israel’s tasks to justify her position with the Village. You know she is being groomed by him to run for Trustee, assuming she can pass the OMA training course!
Will it take that long before the Village honors hero Tom Boyle, killed in the line of duty and service to his country on June 19, 2012?
It would have been nice if the Village simply flew the Village flag at half mast on the day of Tom Boyle’s funeral. Abboud had his hands tied because according to Abboud, Governor Quinn failed to grant the Village permission to fly the flag at half mast on the day of Mr. Boyle’s funeral. Abboud did not have the where with all to exercise independent judgment and fly the flag at half mast anyway.
I wonder if Abboud will blame Governor Quinn when the truth is revealed about the Schuman letter and its relationship to the Oakwood Farm campaign donation to Save 5 Acres? Do you think the U.S. Attorney will believe Abboud if he says Governor Quinn was behind the quid pro quo? Abboud is sounding more and more like a U.S. Congressman everyday.
