When Mary Bradford-White moved to Barrington Hills from Pennsylvania, she was shocked to find that no one in the area was doing private land preservation.
Coming from a protected area in the Radnor area, where Bradford-White said everyone wanted to live because it was so unique and beautiful, she found the Barrington area also unique and beautiful. Bradford-White added that while Citizens for Conservation was doing a wonderful job of protecting public areas, it was important to also protect the private areas. So she started to ask around about how to make sure a group was focusing on the private areas as well and hit a sort of road block.
