You don’t need The Observer to tell you that next Tuesday is an election day. Campaign signs line our roadways, robocalls cause us to pause before picking up the phone and every commercial break on television seems to include relentless campaign ads.
Last month, The Observer published “go-to” links for residents where they can view their voting districts, polling locations and preview sample ballots for more time to consider candidate choices. Today we’re providing these links again, and you can click on your county below to find your personal voting information:
Tuesday Village residents will be asked whether our Barrington Hills leaders should negotiate electric rates on our behalf, and The Observer published our findings last week (see “What residents should know about electrical aggregation”). Those voting on Tuesday will also consider selecting three Village residents running for county, state and US government seats. Leslie Coolidge (D) is running for the 6th district seat in the US Congress, Dr. Ann Majewski (R) is running for McHenry County Coroner and David McSweeney (R) hopes to represent the 52nd District in the Illinois House of Representatives.
The Observer makes no endorsements in these races, but wishes our fellow residents good fortune at the polls. The polls will be open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, and the results of the electrical aggregation referendum will be published as soon as they are final.

I will be voting “NO” to the aggregation question, I can do better on my own!!!!
Already voted ‘no’ – there is not one aspect of my existence that I would want the BOT minus one to vote/control. Their track record with video/live streaming the board and committee meetings proved to me their intentions and moral character. They are not looking out for the residents by any means……………
