What audio recordings? Only half of October’s meeting was put up, and November and December have never been posted at all. As horrible as the quality was, at least you could hear for yourself exactly what is going on during those marathon sessions. Reading the minutes tells you NOTHING.
By the way, when is a new Village Clerk going to be appointed? It’s been, what – Nine months? Is Bob running out of loyal followers to do his biding?
Edited, faulty minutes become the public record; one more reason to have these meetings independently recorded and PRESERVED.
1. Robert Miller is not the Algonquin Township Supervisor; he is the Algonquin Township Road Commissioner.
2. What roads and services are included in any contract with Cuba Township? with Algonquin Township? Winter road plowing was much better when under contract with Algonquin Township; why was this changed to Cuba Township’s Tom Gooch?
3. The Village owned properties at Surrey, etc. represent significant liability to the Village; Abboud’s contention that these give the Village certain advantages (does he mean the ability to have input in planning?) is bunk. Didn’t he learn this in the Duda matter?
4. Abboud’s offer to “appeal taxes” for people; more bunk
5. Without studying these “minutes” further, my final comment is that the tenor of these (minutes) shows ongoing bias on certain subjects.
6. In the future, when Trustees approve their minutes, would they please repalce the word “insure”, with the word “ensure”? and make an effort to provide comprehensive coverage of all meetings.
IT IS SHAMEFUL THAT THE BOARD CONTINUES TO PENALIZE THE PUBLIC WITH EXECUTIVE SESSIONS WHEN THE MEETING COMMENCES AND PUBLIC COMMENT DEFERRED TO THE END OF THE MEETING.
The minutes reflect that in response to Jonathan Knight’s question of what form of government is Barrington Hills, Abboud responded “Village Trustee Form of Government” is absolutely false. Abboud said nothing in response to this question.
It was Douglas Wambach who answered Knight’s question and not Abboud. During a prior Board meeting Abboud misrepresented to the Board and residents that Barrington Hills is a “Strong Mayor form of Government” without any correction from the Board or Wambach. These minutes are in most part not reflective of reality but a fiction distorted by lies and half truths.
Ponyup’s observation relating to minutes being “lies and half truths” reaffirms why we NEED independently recorded minutes, and why the Pres and Board continue to thwart every effort to make that (independent recording) a reality.
Do the Trusttes even READ the minutes before they approve them? or are they like Trustee Gohl, who proudly states that he “never reads anything she, Attorney General L Madigan, sends me”? She probably never reads anything he/Gohl might send to her, if he is as incompetent as he appears in his position as Trustee.

The new clerk was appointed at the last bot meeting – Delores Trandel – non resident if that matters………….

I missed spelling error of “Trustees” in 1st sentence of Para 2, sorry.
