The Barrington Hills Observer

The Barrington Hills Beautification Committee has put a focus on honoring the memory of local Civil War veterans and gathering a historical account of those area veterans. 

“The Civil War tie to our Barrington area, known as Barrington Center, is so timely with the beginning of the war’s first battles being acknowledged nationwide in the summer of 2011,” wrote P. Denise Israel, chair of the Beautification Committee.
