As 2011 winds to a close, Barrington Hills families and neighbors are joining together in the holiday spirit. The Observer would like to take this time to sincerely thank all of our readers, both newcomers and “old timers” from our humble beginnings, for their interest and loyalty.
It is only through your support that we have been blessed with a tenfold increase in readership and subscribers since just May of this year! This, along with more frequent and expressive news and editorial comments, makes us confident that we’re on the right path to making residents increasingly aware of the Village governing environment they now live in. In most cases sadly, it’s not the Village we moved to originally, but we aim to make it better by informing concerned residents who have a true passion for the welfare of our community as a whole.
So with that, we at The Observer have a simple message for all who share in our commitment to living peacefully and without autocratic governing in Barrington Hills:
Merry Christmas to all!
Thanks to the Observer.
You provide an important service.
I want to take this time to thank the B.H. Observer (and other independent websites) for bringing news and perspective which otherwise would go unnoticed keeping residents in the dark on issues which matter most. The existence of these two websites not only reminds me of the importance of free speech, but our obligation as residents of B.H. and citizens of the U.S. to exercise it. Public speech by the electorate is the only means to keep elected officials in check and to keep the electorate informed of what mischief B.H. government is up too.
Abboud promised transparency (another litmus test failure) and The B.H. Observer (and other independent websites) are holding him to his insincere promise. They are doing this by giving the residents of B.H. news they will not find on the Village Website or in the Village newsletter a/k/a Pravda. Lets keep the articles and dialogue going and may God continue to Bless America!
