A light bulb went off for four Barrington Hills residents fighting the “Dark Sky” proposal to limit outdoor lighting and they decided to run as a slate for the village board in the April 5 election, advocating a return to common sense in local government.
“We have common goals, but we’re all individuals with our own goals on certain things,” said Steve D’Amore, a trial lawyer and partner at Winston & Strawn, LLP. He is running with Trustee Beth Mallen and Dede Wamberg for three open seats, and Skip Gianopulos, who is uncontested in his bid for a two-year board term.
